Went in to the pub for a late lunch with a friend. After a suitable wait I had to get up and call a waiter for a menu. Also had to find out what was delay on main course. Definitely a lack of service and attention to customers. Food is adequate but poor value. This is the second time I have found this poor service so won't be going back.
Went in between Xmas and New Year for dinner - never again. The portions were tiny and there was a hair on top of my fish pie. Two chairs at our table had to be changed as one had a hole in the springs and the other was too uncomfortably hard. The heating was broken down so it was freezing and I had to wear my coat at the table. Restaurants need to be honest up front with people booking tables if something is broken. By the time we found out it was too late to change plans. We did get some money off our bill but I'd have preferred a better experience at full price.
We went on a Sunday evening. Really poor food. The fish and chips tasted like they'd been there a while. Nice atmosphere for a drink but don't eat there!
Lovely pub, excellently fitted out, however service was almost non existant. Had to go to counter to order coffee as was totally neglected in restaurant area. Was three staff at counter and I had to shout to get their attention as they were having a nice chat!!!! Food acceptable but only had lunch snack so couldn't comment on real food. A lost opportunity because as a large family we look for great pubs to recommend to each other for our regular "Pub Club"
A really lovely place to visit for a drink or food. Menu was well priced and service was great. We will definitely be visiting again soon
